AJM Decorating are currently re-decorating this fantastic residence situated within the North of England. The dwelling required a full interior and exterior overhaul and AJM Decorating worked alongside various contractors to provide a contemporary yet minimalist finish.
AJM Decorating are committed to completing work to a high and exacting standard. Therefore all our work is fully prepared before application of products, and all of our decorators are qualified in the use of specialist designer wallpapers and paints.
AJM Decorating worked in conjunction an interior designer / architects to choose finishes and colours which provided a warm, light and open feel to the home. To enable the client to confirm the colours, we decorated each surface within the various rooms with the colours they had suggested. This ensured that the colours could be viewed in various lights and at different times of the day, guaranteeing suitability for the rooms.
Colours were chosen from a variety of paint manufacturers including Paint & Paper Library, Papers & Paints, Farrow & Ball and Dulux. All wall and ceiling surfaces were painted in a Matt Emulsion and woodwork in Eggshell to provide all surfaces with a low sheen finish. This was done by way of Brush Application, an increasingly popular alternative to roller application, which is proving a growing trend with the larger residences in London. Wallpaper was chosen from the Architectural Textiles range and consisted of a Hemp Grasspaper.
Various areas of interior oak woodwork were decorated using Osmo Poly X Oil in a satin / matt finish. This product is specifically designed to soak into the wood, ensuring the oak still holds a natural appearance, whilst also ensuring maximum protection.
All exterior woodwork was decorated using the Osmo UV Protection Oil in a satin / matt finish with any metalwork receiving Dulux Metalshield Paint.
