In April 2010, we had the privilege of securing the following project for the Exterior decorating works at this magnificent family home. We were asked to quote for all the exterior woodwork to be re-painted using the Dulux Weathershield System. We were delighted to be given the chance to be a part of the re-decoration of such a fantastic house. After completing the exterior, the owners have been extremely pleased with the finish and we have since been asked to price for the complete re-decoration of the interior rooms. We are proud to be given the opportunity to return and assist the owners in achieving the same high quality finish for their interior decorating needs.

Exterior

As a number of the windows were at height, a cherry picker was used to ensure the decorators had a stable platform to carry out the painting of the windows. Numerous windows on the side of the house, required the putty removing and replacing. Our decorators ensured the windows were re-pointed before painting was carried out. We also replaced over 100 panes of glass due to them having defects in them.

At AJM Decorating, all of our decorators are trained in the use of Repair Care Window Care System, designed to replace rotten wood as an alternative to replacing the door or window all together. At The Old Vicarage, one of the exterior doors required a small amount of repair. This consisted of removing the rotten wood by cutting out the sections that needed replacing, using a hardener to stabilise the wood and then applying a unique resin formula, ready for paint to be applied once the resin had dried.

After lightly abrading all woodwork and filling any areas that required it, we applied the Dulux Weathershield System to all the exterior woodwork, ensuring that all window sills and bottoms of doors received an extra coat of Dulux Weathershield Gloss to protect against rain damage. We recommended the use of Dulux Weathershield products, as it is an exceptional product with a guarantee of 8 years protection.

As a Dulux Trade Contract Partner, all our work is guaranteed for 4 years. We are able to offer a four year guarantee on all our work using Dulux products. This is a no quibble guarantee, if any paint work on the exterior breaks down within the four year period, we will return and re-paint it free of charge.
